AutoTextTyper

AutoTextTyper is a contextual menu plugin that lets you quickly and easily add commonly used text, such as email addresses, web sites, postal addresses, company names, form letters, and more, to a list of items in a contextual menu. You can also have the current date and/or time typed. You can then select any of those items from the menu and have them automatically typed into any application that supports contextual menus. You can also associate a key combination (a Hot Key) with a macro and use that Hot Key to invoke the macro.

Version 3.0 changes:

  • Added support for a new "AutoDocuments" feature. AutoDocuments are text files or text clippings that can be auto-typed just like a normal AutoTextTyper macro. AutoDocuments go into a folder named "AutoTextTyper AutoDocuments" in the Preferences folder. There's new menu item in AutoTextTyper to create and reveal this folder for you. You can place text files, text clippings, as well as folders (which can themselves contain files and other files, etc.) to create a hierarchy of organized documents that can be easily opened and auto-typed. AutoDocuments can be easily managed using familiar organization of files within the Finder.
  • Added support for launching applications and opening URL/Internet location files in a web browser by placing them in the AutoDocuments folder. This allows AutoTextTyper to be used as a quick and easy application launcher and URL/bookmark manager.

Here are some screenshots of AutoTextTyper in action! The first is a view of using AutoTextTyper in TexEdit's editor window to paste in an address:
